Truck Dangling Off Clark Memorial Bridge In Louisville
Dramatic new dash cam video shows the crash that left a semi dangling off the Clark Memorial Bridge in Louisville earlier this year.
The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on March 1 on the Clark Memorial Bridge over the Ohio River between Indiana and Louisville.
According to reports, pickup driver Trevor Branham, 33, was operating a Chevrolet C1500 southbound on the bridge at a high rate of speed, weaving in and out of traffic, when he struck a stalled EV.
What happened?
The Chevrolet C1500 then entered the northbound lanes where it struck another car, then collided with a Sysco semi truck driven by Sydney Thomas, sending the truck crashing into support beam then through the bridge guardrail. The truck came to rest with the cab dangling 100 feet over the Ohio River for about 45 minutes before Thomas was rescued by first responders with the Louisville Fire Department.
Branham was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
According to WAVE3 News, the driver-facing and outward-facing dash cam video of the crash was shared during a court hearing related to the charges Branham is facing.
